CVR (Conversion Rate)

CVR stands for Conversion Rate. In e-commerce, it measures how many people who saw your product listing or clicked your ad actually completed a purchase. It is expressed as a percentage.

CVR = (Number of purchases / Number of clicks or sessions) x 100

If 200 people clicked your ad and 6 bought, your CVR is 3%.

The Simple Version

CVR answers: “Of everyone who showed interest, how many actually bought?” High CTR means your ad stopped people’s scroll. High CVR means your product page closed the sale. You need both. An ad that grabs attention and a listing that converts that attention into a transaction.

On TikTok Shop, the product listing page is the conversion moment. The key variables:

• Photos: Multiple angles, white background, lifestyle context. Buyers need to visualize the product.
